Cabo Verde trips and tours
hiking trip sites
Why go on a tour?  Those of you with experience know already what the benefits are. To the human body,
walking is as natural as breathing. Once we learn to walk, we never stop. Unless you are confined to a
wheelchair, everybody does some kind of walking every day. Walking can improve your circulation and
prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure and aid the respiratory system and digestion.

Our camping sites have been carefully chosen during our trips. Some are located within the national park,
managed by the Ministry of Agriculture. We expect you to fully comply with the rules and regulations. No
toilet facilities are provided at  these sites. No campfires are allowed, and no sample collection – either
animal or plant.

Once being on the brink of extinction, these highly intelligent and social
animals are making a remarkable come-back. They’re being protected
by the government, as they are listed as endangered. On The Edge
Adventures is raising awareness by hiring local guides to participate
in our protection program. However, these animals are still being
threatened, especially during  rain season, when encroachment on
the monkey's habitat  brings  them into conflict  with local population.

Guided Tours and Trips of Santiago Island
Cabo Verde, Africa location
Cape Verde (pronounced Cabo Verde in Portuguese) is a tropical island country
located west of Africa. It is a lightly populated country with a democratic government.

The islands of Cape Verde enjoy steady warm temperatures all year long. There are
two distinct seasons: the "wet season" runs from July through October and features
light rains about twice a week lasting about an hour each time, while the "dry season"
is the other part of the year.

Scenery varies across the islands, with both wide open spaces and forested valleys.
There are extensive beach areas on each island and a wide variety of ocean sports.

In the cities you will find world-class vacation accommodations, restaurants, and
shops.
Cape Verde is home for a variety of birds both native and
migratory species, and harbors one of the rarest: Calhandra
Ilheu Raso. Considered one of the most endangered
species,(only few individuals remain) previous
arrangements are required for a site visit.
Labelled cities are direct flights.
